SECRETARY JARED HOFFMAN

Jared was born in raised in rural Snyder County, growing up he was very active in the community helping his church and family with soup kitchens, food pantries and providing to those who were less fortunate he believes in “Service above Self” and will do anything to help his community, county and state become a better place. This philosophy shows by his status as a 10 year veteran of the Shamokin Dam and Kratzerville Fire Departments.

His first Experience in politics started at age 17, at the time a Republican, and by the time he was 18 an active Republican engaging with voters and helping the committee. He advocated for Moderate policies as he was a Liberal/Moderate Republican, and he called out staunch conservative views as incompatible with Pennsylvanian values.

During the 2016 election, he took a stand and joined the Anti-Trump movement, a decision that would see him vilified and cast out as a “traitor to the party”. He kept fighting during the trump presidency to inspire and energize the anti-trump republican movement, after roadblocks, hatred and censure from Republican establishment he left the Republican Party and Joined the Democratic Party in 2019.

Quickly working to engage and promote Rural Democratic values and for an emphasis on “kitchen table issues” during the 2022 Midterms, he successfully rallied Republicans around Shapiro and Fetterman. In 2024 as Precinct Captain of Penn Township for the Snyder County Democrats, he would meet with neighbors, hosts neighborhood events and other means to rally support around Casey and Harris and emphasizing economic and housing issues when connecting with voters. He was also hired as a Full Time Campus Organizer with a Political Non-Profit that worked to register and increase voter turnout amongst college voters and when not working on college campuses. He was the Campaign Manager for Zach Womer, a Congressional Candidate for the PA 15th District. In this role, he made inroads in the Western end of the county an area in which Jared knew to be the road to winning the county. This strategy worked, as Zach was the highest vote getter in many Red precincts in the Western Snyder County.

Jared Serves as Secretary in the County Committee, Sub-Committee Chairman of Elections and as Precinct Captain for Penn Township.
