The Snyder County Democratic Committee has two simple goals: to elect Democrats up and down the ballot and to be a resource for Democrats living in Snyder County.

Structure: The Democratic Committee in Snyder County has positions for an Executive Committee composed of the Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and State Committee Representative. Additionally, there are two representative Committee Members for each precinct and five Committee Members at Large.

Positions are elected every four years. The Chair may appoint Committee Members to vacant positions as directed by our by-laws. Committee Members are elected by the constituents in each precinct, while the Executive Committee is elected by the Committee Members following the election. The State Committee Representative is elected by constituents from Snyder County as a whole and represents our County at the Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee level alongside the Chair of the Committee.
